DOI: 10.1080/713702406 Urban Home-ownership in SwedenPolitical Sociology at the University of Adelaide, South Australia About one quarter of urban households in urban Sweden are owner-occupiers but there is little relationship between owner occupance and social class. This is attributed to the ability of the private rental sector to attract high-income households. Tenure choice reflects housing costs at different stages of the life cycle: these costs are examined in detail. Other elements in tenure choice are locational attributes and the legal position of owners and tenants.
